Graphic Design is my passion

Where ART and OCD intersect, you'll find Michelle Doran Creative Services.  I love the simple, yet effective; the bold, yet inviting; and of course, perfectly aligned images and spaced typography.

In 2010, Michelle Doran Creative Services was born out of a necessity to design, yet the overwhelming desire to stay home and raise my children -- which lucky for me, my husband fully supports.

Through college, I've supported many different types of brands including, but not limited to gardening supplies, state forests, non-profits, and outdoor retail.  After college, I worked for a publishing house where I learned the business of multi-page publications (which my senior project was based on), advertising, and uniquely, the business of cycling.  After the publishing house, I spent 3 years at the Puget Sound Business Journal learning all about the business of newspapers and corporate events.

My love of publication design grew from afar as my main focus was in the marketing department.  This is where my second love (event and branding support) flourished at the desk where deadlines came quicker than lattes, most days.

In the wake of supporting the PSBJ brand, I started working on advertorial publications and learned a new love of working with non-profits.  Because of this and a very personal reason, in 2011, I started volunteering with the American Cancer Society on their Hope Gala, a silent and live auction to support the fight against cancer.

Currently, I enjoy working with small businesses, helping them build their brands; working with non-profits to fight the good fight; and most importantly helping my children grow and, in turn, learning all over again how to discover new things, through the eyes of a child.
